Moreno Valley Kickoff

We had quite the time at Moreno Valley USD last week.  I was there with Carole Williams, the Escape Technology Project Manager, for back-to-back Kick-Off meetings with district users followed by two days of in-depth work with the Moreno Valley team.

The turnout for the Kick-Off meetings was outstanding!

Francine Story, the Moreno Valley Interim CBO, got things started at each meeting introducing the core team from Moreno Valley, Carole and myself to everyone. After a quick overview, I was able to hand it off to Carole to provide a brief demo of the Employee Portal and Escape Online5.  After that, we raffled off some Escape Technology swag we brought and ended each session with a Q & A.  It was great to see the enthusiasm as people understood how Escape Online 5 will help them with some of their current challenges.

For the next two days, we had all day sessions with the Moreno Valley team, continuing to work thru more implementation details. Being face-to-face really helped us work thru a number of issues in a short period of time.

It was a great three days - well worth the effort. I enjoyed being able to meet the people with whom I have been working with over the phone the past few months.  I am looking forward to the continued progress as we march toward the July 1, 2016 go live date.
