Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) is moving quickly towards their July 2018 Go Live date and it was time to learn about Leaves during two days of training at Alameda County Office of Education’s computer lab. Kathy Carlson, Escape Project Manager, led the sessions, and I (Margie Wells, Escape Implementation Analyst) assisted users. Everyone was intent on learning!
With a large district like OUSD, multiple days of training are needed to allow space for everyone to attend. Both days were jam-packed with discussions about different types of leaves, when each is granted and how they are administered, as well as training and hands on practice with the setup for Leaves (Groups, Types, Balances, etc.) and review of the Leave Reports available.
At the end of each day, review questions were asked and each correct answer garnered some Escape swag as a prize! Smiling faces abounded and OUSD got another step closer to using Escape Online!!
