I love the new data grids. I used to run search after search and then sort and re-sort to get just the list I wanted. Now, I run a generic list, open the grid and voila – I can use filtering to quickly generate the perfect list! Check it out. On the grid, there is a drop-down arrow for filtering each column. If you have already filtered a column, you can see that too, by the little funnel icon.
Once you select the drop-down, you get a list of all the groupings for that column. Here are two examples, from vendor requisitions and employees.
You just check and uncheck whatever groupings you want. The grid dynamically updates with just those selections, even the number of records and totals. It is magical!
