Lora joined Escape in 2012. Prior to working at Escape, she worked at a County Office Of Education in Credentialing and Human Resources. During her time with the COE she was heavily involved with the county-wide implementation of Escape. Lora is excited to now be a part of Team Escape.
What is your favorite part of working for Escape? — The best part of working at Escape, for me, is the amazing team. Everyone at Escape has been extremely helpful and supportive throughout the learning process.
Can you give us a quick play-by-play of your average work day? — I come in each morning and the first thing I do is check my email, next I look at the calendar to see what my day is going to look like. My days consist of a mix of meetings and training sessions. After lunch it is usually time to get into the software and practice what I have learned. I am looking forward to taking on customers and using all that I have learned to help our customers.
What have been some of the highlights of your career? — One of the things that I enjoyed most during my career with school business was working on the Escape Task Force for the Placer County implementation. Not only did I learn a lot about school business and Escape but it has helped to prepare me for the next phase of my career in Escape Customer Care!
What are your favorite activities or things to do when not working? — I love to spend time with my kids and my husband and for my “me” time, I love to read.
Where are you from originally? — I am from Placer County, a little town near Auburn. I am fortunate to live in the town where I was born and raised.
If you weren’t a Customer Care Representative, what would you be? — I would be an editor, because I love to read!
What is your favorite food? — Mexican.
What is your ringtone? — I have an individual ringtone/text tone for each of my friends and family.
If you could meet one person, who and why? — My Great, Great Grandmother who came to California on the first passenger train to California. I have read some of her journals and find her life fascinating.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be? — I would love to be able to fly. I grew up flying with my dad and I love to fly, it would be so amazing to fly anywhere I wanted at any time.
