Friday Feature - Position Account Retro Tab
Back in April of this year, I wrote a Friday Feature about the Position Account Retro activity. This is an awesome activity that allows you to enter the "old" and "new" account numbers for a position and fix all of the journal entries and pay detail with very little effort. Then in late May, we made release 13.02 available. That release included a fantastic new feature for all of those account retros. We introduced a new tab to the Position record that only displays if you have performed an account retro. We call these types of tabs, "smart tabs."
This is how it works. If there has been an account retro for the position, the tab displays (like you see in the screenshot). If no account retros have been performed for the position, the tab will not be displayed.
But we didn't stop there. We also updated the Employee Payroll Snapshot.
The snapshot shows both accounts. The "old" account (the first account in the snapshot) has no dollar amounts. The "new" account shows the appropriate amounts for the labor distribution.
What a smart idea!
