Curating the Experience
Considering my new role as Product Manager, this was great opportunity to hear what other companies are doing in this industry. The first session I attended was called Curating the Experience, presented by Jim Nieters, Global Head, User Experience at HP’s Consumer Travel Division.
This was a great session and there were several take aways for me! In fact, I’m already implementing one of the concepts discussed: rapid design session. Rather than waiting several days or weeks in between design sessions, we are now meeting daily to complete the specing and design of a CR. So far, it’s been working well.
Another key point was to ensure you fully identify a problem before thinking about a solution. This is an area where I think we could make some changes to our incident and CR process. I’ll be working with Stephanie and the ECC group on changes they think would help us gather more information about problems being reported.
