What is your favorite part of working for Escape? — The amazing people that I am privileged to work with! We work hard and accomplish great things and the whole team supports one another both professionally and personally. We are big family and I love that. I also love that our customers are part of that family.  At Escape we really have the opportunity to get to know our customers.  We value their opinions and feedback and we develop our software with them in mind.

Can you give us a quick play-by-play of your average work day? — Email, meetings, email, meetings, more email, more meetings … I think you get that communicating with support reps, developers and customers is my priority! I spend a lot of time in meetings, as well as sending and responding to email. One of the benefits of working for Escape is that I get to wear a lot of hats every day. So, in between emails and meetings, I may sit with a support analyst and try to work through a customer question or I may put my old testing hat on and test a few CRs or I may brainstorm with a software developer on some new functionality for an upcoming release. The possibilities are endless, which makes the job that much more fun - you just never know what you may work on or learn today!

What have been some of the highlights of your career? — The people that I have worked with and the relationships that I have built and maintained throughout the years. Any accomplishments along the way have been because of my peer group and their support and guidance.

I created this last summer, I call it Caprese Asparagus.

What are your favorite activities or things to do when not working? — Hanging out with the people I care about. I love to cook and try new recipes, so you will often find me pinning new recipes on Pinterest, or browsing through a cookbook. I am constantly using my family and friends as new recipe guinea pigs. :)

Where are you from originally? — I’m a local girl!  I was raised on a 350-acre turkey ranch in Lincoln, which is only a few miles from the Roseville office.

If you weren't a Manager of Customer Care and Training, what would you be? — As you already know, I love to cook.  One of my favorite things to do is take a really yummy but unhealthy recipe and make it more healthy without losing the yum factor.  I would enjoy working in a school cafeteria to try and overhaul the hot lunch menu, developing recipes that were fresh and healthy that the kids would actually eat and enjoy!

What is your favorite food? — I’m a foodie, so any GOOD food is my favorite. If I had to narrow it down, I would say Mexican food is always a favorite of mine.

What is your ringtone? — I’m pretty boring: it’s the old school phone ring. You know, the ring sound that phones made back when they had all of those cords!

If you could meet one person, who and why? — Maya Angelou.  She was so uplifting and inspirational!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be? — The ability to transport instantly to wherever I wanted to go.  Traveling to and from destinations takes up precious time. It would be so great to eliminate that part!
