I LOVE spending time with our customers and sharing my Escape Online 5 knowledge with them. Last week I had the privilege of meeting new staff, Scott Bentley, Chief Business Officer and Cindy Kasberg, Account Technician from Auburn Union School District and seeing the Placer County Office of Education support staff, Joel Toste, Senior Director Integrated Fiscal Services, Roveta Waters, IT Support Specialist III, and Angela DeGraaf, IT Support Specialist III.
We held a 3-day Escape Online 5 boot camp for the new employees at Auburn USD. We covered almost all of the finance functionality and most of payroll functionality. It was intense!
What I enjoyed best about the training was that the Placer COE was also in attendance and could answer all of the internal questions, like when do we need to submit our AP batches or when does payroll need to be submitted. My favorite question was, “How does everyone else in our county do this.” That’s what I call the best of both worlds. The Escape world and the County world giving their undivided attention!
Thank you for the training; I had three key take-a-ways that I know will help me become more accurate, productive and confident in my new position at Auburn Union School District.
Here’s my list:
1) The Accounts and Sequencing
2) The Payroll Batch Process
3) The Benefits – how to add/change/no delete – just “inactive”!
Of course, I learned many more things, but the items listed above were at the top of the list. I can’t wait until I have the time to listen to the webinars and read more of the processes easily found in Escape. My goal is to become a successful graduate of the Training provided by Escape.
