Escape Anniversaries in June

There are five employees at Escape who are celebrating their "workiversaries" in June: Chad Guest, Chief Technology Officer; Tanya Karalets, Software Support Analyst; Jennifer Stahr, QA Analyst; Philip Wong, Software Developer; and Ali Jenab, Chief Executive Officer. We asked each of them to tell us their favorite thing about working at Escape. Scroll down to read what they said, and for their photos (we weren't able to catch up with Jennifer Stahr or Ali Jenab for a photo.)

My most favorite things about working at Escape are the flexibility and the family working atmosphere.

I really enjoy working alongside and with our dedicated and passionate Escape employees. I am so proud to be a part of this company, and all of the accomplishments that we have all contributed to in making our state schools run more efficiently. My thanks goes out to everyone for their commitment to our customers and each other.

The best part of working at Escape is without a doubt the people that I work with. Everyone is always ready to help and encourage one another.

The town motto where I live is, “A small town is like a big family.” If you substitute “company” for “town,” you have what I like best about Escape. It’s like a big family (the family members you really like), that includes both co-workers and customers.
~Jennifer Stahr
People, people, people! I love working with the team at Escape. Over the past year I enjoyed getting to know everyone and what a great team it is! My first year was also rewarded by a fantastic business performance led by Ramona’s leadership. I am fortunate to have a chance to work with such a wonderful team and looking forward to another great year!

Running Reports in 2017

The end of the school year is almost upon us. The kids are getting ready for graduation and summer recess, a reward for a full year of accomplishments! Our customers also accomplished a lot this year. We would like to celebrate those accomplishments by showing you some of the incredible work you have done by running the reports that keep school business in the game!

As you can see, users love snapshots as much as they love integrated reports, running over 3.6 million all together. What's not to love? Snapshots are buttons on the screen that give you a snapshot, literally, of the information you are reviewing. Integrated reports allow you to run farther, jumping over dynamic sorts and gamifying hundreds of parameter options.

Report links are another great way to run reports. When you are in a report, you can click on a link to run another report, barreling down new paths of data.

The report warehouse lets you run and save reports automatically when you process pay or perform other tasks. The 142,711 count doesn't even include the ones you can add yourself!

Finally, speed is of the essence in any game, so your reports need to run FAST! That is one of the stats that we can all be proud of. Seven out of every eight reports (88%) run in less than 5 seconds.

Thank you for all the work you do, day in and day out, whether it is running reports or processing pay or approving requisitions. This is a time for celebration!

Escape Partners with Digital Schools

In July 2017, I announced Escape Technology’s partnership with Alpine Investors to focus on developing the most comprehensive school business software available, and to offer the best customer support in the industry, while increasing our leadership position in the Education Technology market.

Today, I’m happy to announce that we have taken a big step toward achieving those goals. Effective today, Escape Technology is partnering with Digital Schools. As you know, Digital Schools and Escape Technology frequently competed for customers. Rather than continuing to compete, we see great value in collaborating through a partnership as the best way to address the ongoing needs of our combined customer base - offering the best in school business software.

While Ali Jenab, CEO of Escape Technology, will continue setting overall company strategy, I will assume responsibility for the daily operations of Digital Schools, working closely with Sarah Beyne, CEO of Digital Schools, to ensure a smooth transition of responsibility. During the coming year, I will spend time getting to know the Digital Schools’ team, internal processes, and customer base. While working with me on the transition of responsibility, Sarah will also work closely with Ali on sales strategy.

We look forward to working together, sharing best practices and combining our respective skills and school business knowledge to benefit our combined customer base. As a team, we are committed to continuing to deliver the best products and services in the industry.

Escape Anniversaries in May

There are two employees at Escape who are celebrating their "workiversaries" in May: Melanie Brooks and Patrick Kinsella, both Software Developers. We asked them to tell us their favorite thing about working at Escape. Scroll down to read what they said.

Patrick took a few minutes to sit for a photo. Melanie was in and out of the office this month, so we weren't able to catch up with her for a photo.

What Escape means to me:
  E – engaging
  S – strong
  C – charitable
  A – authentic
  P – party!
  E – enthusiastic

You! Yes, you. You’re my favorite part of working at Escape.
Without you, I just don’t see the point.
