Beyond Escape 2019 Sacramento - What You Need to Know

We are really excited to be hosting our 5th Beyond Escape User Conference! If you’ve been to past years’ conferences, you know that we’re all about California Casual. This year is no different! You’ll see many Escapees in flip flops or sandals. If you have a pair, show them off!

On the left, Ken Custard, Software Developer at Escape sports some red “chucks” while on the right, Francisco Delgadillo, Financial Secretary at Monterey COE sports a pair of bright red running shoes with ombré effect.

Here are some tips to help you make the most of your Beyond Escape experience:

  • Registration & Breakfast begin at 7:30 AM in the Grand Nave Foyer. Please join us for coffee and breakfast and to pick up your badge and conference program before the sessions begin at 8:00. Yes, 8:00 AM - that’s 30 minutes earlier than in the past!

  • Swag and T-Shirt Pick-up. This year you’ll be able to pick up your swag bag and conference t-shirt throughout the day, so you can relax and enjoy the conference.

  • Plan Your Day. Get ahead of the game and bookmark the mobile agenda on your device for fast access at the conference. You can see the full agenda, view session handouts (uploaded Sunday evening before conference), get speaker information, and connect with other attendees! Enter your registration confirmation number and last name to sign in.

  • Sheraton Grand Hotel Sacramento. We have included a map (below) and a link for driving directions to the hotel.

  • Parking. There are many parking garages close to the hotel. Click Parking.com to see the nearby garages, and/or download the parking app.

    • Parking for the hotel is located in the ACE parking garage across the street (entrance on 13th St.). The garage is open 24 hours.

    • For hotel guests, self-parking is $25/day and valet parking is $32/day. Hotel guests have in and out privileges.

    • For drive-in guests not staying at the hotel, self-parking is $30/day and valet parking is $34/day.

    • Traffic the week of the conference is especially heavy in downtown due to the Sacramento Convention Center being under construction, and due to a memorial service for a local celebrity chef, Biba Caggiano. So, please allow extra time to navigate traffic in Sacramento.

  • Dietary Restrictions. We have confirmed that our buffets will accommodate all dietary restrictions specified during registration. For your convenience, buffet items will be labeled Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten Free.

  • Attire. Have fun! We will be casual, with beachy attire and sandals. Show your style! Be comfortable! Hotel conference rooms can run on the cooler side. We recommend a sweater for those who may need one.

  • Sharing. Don’t forget that we are on Twitter @escapetechno and have a #BeyondEscape19 hashtag for the conference. Follow us. Share your photos on Twitter or Facebook. Join in the fun!

  • Payment. Please mail your checks directly to Escape Technology before the conference! No checks will be accepted at the conference.
