I Made New Friends in Santa Cruz!

What a great time I had last month with all my new friends at Santa Cruz County Office of Education doing the AP and AR training! We had two whole days with both days being a full house!


Monica Beverly, Manager, Business Information Systems, and her team are working hard to make sure all the attendees have everything they need for each and every training. They’re also doing an AWESOME job keeping the implementation on target! Way to go, team!

I’m looking forward to more training sessions at Santa Cruz County COE in the near future! Great people, awesome seafood, and the view isn’t bad either!

It's Contagious!

I’m having so much fun going to Santa Cruz County Office of Education to train these users. Everyone is so open and ready to start using Escape Online 5! They’re so eager to learn and use all the features that Escape Online 5 has to offer.

With July 1 fast approaching, these users are coming into each training and packing the house! I love how excited they all are. It’s contagious.  

Madera CSOS, Full Speed Ahead with Training!

Last month, we had the pleasure of training users on Position & Assignment Entry and Employee Management at Madera CSOS. We had a full house both days which included users from ALL Districts.


The first day we worked on adding positions and assignments in the system. By the end of the day, many of the districts had finished most of the work they had been assigned, and the rest were well on their way. How exciting is that!

On the second day, we took a deep dive into all tabs in Employee Management. Users were thrilled to learn about all of the available features. The report samplers gave them ideas about investigating ways to make their work more effective and efficient. We reviewed different search options, such as ranges and series or multiple selections from a lookup, entering mnemonics in date ranges and other shortcuts to save time. We also reviewed how using the Education tab would give them the flexibility to track training for all employees.

We thoroughly enjoyed the two days we spent with this fun and dedicated group of users!


Alameda USD Takes on Pay Compares

Spring has sprung, but when you’re part of an implementation that goes live in July 2019 like the folks at Alameda USD, they are hard at work inside the office instead of sneezing outside!  Tanya Karalets, Escape HR/Payroll Business Analyst and I joined forces with Alameda County Office of Education’s Fiscal Services Support group to assist the AUSD Payroll department with getting up close and personal with the process of comparing pay between their legacy system and Escape Online.  Just look how hard they are working!!
