Madera CSOS Implementation Training Full Steam Ahead!

Everyone knows how Implementation trainings go, so I won’t bore you with all the fun details and instead talk about the awesome trainings Margie Wells, Implementation Analyst, gave over 3 days at Madera County Superintendent of Schools!

It was a FULL house every day! As a trainer myself, it was a real treat to get to help users while Margie shared her knowledge of Purchasing, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. The users are so excited and ready to learn and work.

The county provided lunch every day to keep us all fed and comfortable. At the end of our two days of training, they had a full day of working sessions for the users to come and work through the topics they learned. It’s so great to learn something and then do it!

A special thanks to Julie DeWall, Assistant Director, Business Services and her team for organizing the trainings and keeping the implementation full steam ahead toward their Go Live date of January 2020!  I’m looking forward to being part of the training sessions in the near future and at the Beyond Escape User Conference.

Santa Cruz COE Is Live on Escape Payroll!

Santa Cruz County Office of Education began their transition to Escape Online in October 2018. We had an aggressive timeline to get all 11 districts (with a total of approximately 5,000 employees) live this July.

Everyone at Santa Cruz COE has worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition, and last week we processed their first payroll – July end of month.

Escape Technology provided pizza for lunch today to celebrate going live! Mary Hart, the Assistant Superintendent, Business, decorated the table with candy bars, which were explained in the card she read to everyone (see the photo). How sweet is that?!

Escape Online Training Kicks Off at Hayward USD!

The first of many trainings has begun with Hayward USD! Kathy Carlson, Escape Project Manager, along with the Alameda COE FSS team spent two days with the Hayward USD Core Team and staff from various departments. We provided an overview of HR/Payroll and Finance modules and the functionality Escape Online offers. Both trainings were well attended by district staff.

We kicked off training on Day 1 with an HR/Payroll overview. The team received an overview of Position Control, Employee Management, Benefits and Leaves in Escape Online. We took a deep dive into Assignment and Payroll setup to prepare the team for system setup required in order to start data migration. Attendees were given “homework” to start putting together the important HR and Payroll setup data that will help define their new Escape Online system!

The next day, the Finance Overview was held. We were welcomed by the Core Team and staff from the various Finance departments. The team spent the day learning about setup for Chart of Accounts, Departments, Purchasing and Asset Management in Escape Online. We also showed the team how Stores and Work Orders can be managed in the system.

There were many smiles and lots of exclamations about the new features Hayward USD will be able to use in Escape Online when they go live in July 2020!
