Countdown for SQL Server - Part Two

It's been over two years since Escape informed our customers that Escape Online 5 software would no longer be compatible with SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008. As you may already know, Microsoft ended mainstream support for SQL 2008 R2 way back in July 2014 and extended support ends July 2019.

We want to alert you that Escape software will no longer be supported on SQL Server 2008 R2 as of July 1, 2018.

As we mentioned in our previous blog, trying to maintain backward compatibility, especially with products Microsoft no longer supports, limits the ability to leverage the new features, security, and improved performance of the latest versions of SQL Server. Escape is committed to delivering a best-in-class product and the database server is the most critical building block in the supporting infrastructure.

If you are still running SQL Server 2008 R2, please begin the planning process to complete your upgrade before July 1, 2018.
