Livermore, Tri Valley ROP, Pleasanton & Piedmont join ACOE on Escape

The excitement was palpable at the Finance and HR/Payroll Setup Overview combined trainings for Livermore Valley USD, Tri Valley ROP, Pleasanton USD and Piedmont USD personnel held at the Alameda COE Lab over two days during the first week of September!  Kathy Carlson, the Escape Project Manager, and I had a great time getting to know the core teams for all of these new districts that will be going live in July 2018 as well as the talented ACOE FSS team that they will be working with.

The Finance Setup Overview was well attended by all districts, with lots of questions and discussion about important processes such as Asset Management and Purchasing.  Attendees were sent home with “homework” to start considering and assembling lists of pertinent setup data, using the provided templates when needed, such as Vendors, Asset Categories & Disposal methods and Account Structure components that are required.

Back at ACOE later in the week, the HR/Payroll Setup Overview was held.  There were quite a few repeat attendees, and many of them were able to access both the Escape Online 5 Test and Production systems and start to get comfortable in the software.  Some were even getting ahead of the game by keying Calendars and Bargaining Units in Production during the breaks!  As before, attendees were sent home with “homework” to start putting together the important HR and Payroll setup data that will help define their new Escape Online 5 system!

Can’t wait to see what these folks do next!

Happy HR attendees.
