More great news as Oakland Unified joins the Escape family

If you’ve been reading the blog, you know it’s been a busy Fall here Escape Technology, as we’ve recently signed a few new customers. And things just got even better.

We’re happy to announce that the Oakland Unified School District will also be joining the Escape Technology family. Not only is this great news for Escape Technology, it’s also great news for the Alameda County Office of Education as Oakland USD will be hosted on the Alameda COE Escape system. That’s what we call a WIN-WIN!

Kathy Carlson, Escape Technology Project Manager, will be working with Gil Echeverria, Deputy Chief of Continuous Improvement and Project Management, and his team from Oakland USD and Doug D’Amour Director of Fiscal Support Services, and the team from Alameda COE on the implementation over the next 18 months.

While most implementations normally take 12 months, we decided to include some extra time in this implementation due to the size and complexity of the district. We are dedicating the first few months to analyzing the 3rd party solutions and system interfaces and then we’ll be moving into workflow analysis at the beginning of the year.

We are both honored and excited to have been chosen as the vendor of choice for Oakland USD and look forward to our partnership with the district and Alameda COE over the next year and a half during the implementation.
