Early Adopters for Online 6

We are happy to announce our Online 6 Early Adopters program has begun. Online 6 is our next-generation, web-based solution. Like the Employee Online Portal, it is built using modern web-based technologies.

We have rolled out Online 6 Requisition Approvals to Calaveras COE and Solano COE!

Solano COE gives the look of Online 6 a thumbs up (six thumbs up!). They are looking forward to being an early adopter.

We wanted to focus first on site users. With the new Requisition Approvals activity, site users can login and approve requisitions on the go. There are so many Principals, Program Managers and others that only interact with the Escape database via requisition approvals. Online 6 makes this easy and accessible.

On the Approve Requisitions page, you can immediately see how many approvals are pending.

On the Approve Requisitions page, you can immediately see how many approvals are pending.

Of course, our existing application, Escape Online, and Online 6 work hand-in-hand, so information is updated dynamically in a single database. If a requisition is approved in Online 6, users in Escape Online see that approval immediately. When approving requisitions, users can choose which product best suits their needs – all delivered in a secure environment.

Being able to enter just “123” in Reference # to find all items containing that string is pretty cool!

Confirmation dialog boxes make it perfectly clear what the software is doing. After you post, you get a “big green check mark,” announcing your success!

If you have lots of requisitions on your list, you will love the new list features, including rearranging, sorting, grouping and pinning! You can also save your list configuration as a favorite, up to 20 for the activity.

I love the flexibility this gives us.

Love the dashboard look! It’s a good look and easy to read! It’s very simple and clear. I love the big green check mark! And the PIN is fantastic! It’s a really nice feature.

Benefit Management Round Table Is Selling Out Fast

The registrations for the Round Tables at the upcoming Beyond Escape User Conference are like a tidal wave! The Benefit Management Round Table is SOLD OUT in Sacramento and near sell out in Santa Barbara. This is not a surprise.

Benefit management is one of those areas in school business where every district has their own way of processing. Yes, the benefits and employees are the same but sometimes it is HR that handles it; sometimes it is Payroll that handles it. And, sometimes there is dedicated staff, just for benefits.

That is why benefit management is the PERFECT topic for a Round Table. The discussions are going to be epic, with each person sharing their style and surfing tricks. Jane Youngman, Escape Project Manager, and Tanya Karalets, Escape Business Analyst, are both subject matter experts when it comes to benefits. This is going to be an exciting event!

If you have not signed up for Round Tables yet, you will want to do so right away. Other Round Tables are nearing their maximums. There are links at the bottom of your confirmation email that will help you out. Here is a summary of what you need to do.

  1. Return to the registration site.

  2. Log into your account.

  3. Modify your registration.

While you are in there, sign up for Escape University sessions, too.

Not Registered?

Remember, General Sessions are open to all, no sign up necessary, so if you want to go, you can go. But, Escape University and Round Table Discussions require registration.

Friday Feature - Dashboard Messages for Employees

Back in June, I wrote a Friday Feature about the Employee Online Portal dashboard messages that organizations can customize. Now, I want to show you the messages that are generated by the Employee record. Check it out.

This is great information! If my first aid or CPR certification is about to expire, I get a message right on the dashboard. The same is true if I submit changes for my W4 or DE4. I can see where my changes are in the process.

When we were talking to some customers the other day, the HR department said that people are turning in their documentation early because of the notifications. What a great time saver for everyone!

Friday Feature - Saving Many Report Favorites

Now, I have written quite a few Friday Features about report favorites, but I saw some data the other day that made me want to write one more! This is really about how our customers take advantage of report favorites, over and over again. Check it out!

This is some amazing statistics. From a random sampling of over 5K users that use report favorites, we can see that 10% of users have more than 5 report favorites. If you are not using report favorites, get on board with thousands of your colleagues and start using this fantastic productivity tool.
