Escape Technology Founders

Escape Technology was founded by Bob Towery in 1985. Bob had worked four years at System Integrators, a company that provided hardware and software to the newspaper industry. The timing coincided with the rise of the PC industry, and Bob's plan was to find a market in which to build a software company. He spent several years doing custom programming projects and accounting system installation/trainings.

Chad Guest was Bob's best friend from System Integrators and a much better developer than Bob. Barry Collins was the lone technology person working for San Ramon Valley USD, Bob's first school district. Barry and Chad joined up in 1989 and the rest is history.

Barry retired in 2011. Bob retired in 2017. Chad continues at Escape doing what he does best, developing great school business software!
